    Care provider was Surgeon Dr. Speyer who is an excellent provider,and very thorough in his practice,and how hes treated me.He saved my life a few yrs ago,and have tremendous respect for him.

    The appointment was 10 minutes or less and he was very abrupt when he removed the tapes of my surgery to the extent that it hurt, he did not give me recommendations for home care and he did not talk to me about the pathology of my appendix since that was my surgery and what happened to me to be operated.

    • Dr. David Speyerer is board certified in general surgery and is part of BayCare Medical Group Gessler Clinic in Winter Haven, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He completed an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, followed by a general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Dr. Speyerer has special clinical interests in treating pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, liver cancer, abdominal hernias, intestinal obstructions, rectal, abdomen and small intestine disorders. Dr. Speyerer is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, Polk County Medical Association, the Florida Vascular Society and the Southeast Surgery Society. He is affiliated with Winter Haven Hospital.
