Doctor Bio
Dr. Dannaly Reyes Baerga is board certified in neurology and is with BayCare Medical Group in St. Petersburg, Florida where she sees patients age 18 and older. She completed a master’s degree in physical therapy at the University of Puerto Rico. Her passion for neurological rehabilitation motivated her to pursue a career in medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and continued her medical education by completing an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, where she served as a chief resident and was elected resident of the year. She then completed a neurorehabilitation fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is passionate about headache medicine and became board certified as a headache medicine specialist.
Dr. Reyes Baerga has special interests in headaches, concussions, brain injury management, spasticity management, stroke and general neurology. As a former physical therapist and current neurologist, she is uniquely positioned to understand the intricacies of recovery after brain injury and stroke. She is certified and skilled in administration of onabotulinum toxin for migraines, spasticity management, hemifacial spasms, and dystonia. She strives to make each patient’s visit a pleasant and pain-free experience. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society, a highly competitive national organization recognizing outstanding physicians. Dr. Reyes Baerga speaks Spanish and is affiliated with St. Anthony’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital.
