Daniel S. Weitzner, PhD

Dr. Daniel Weitzner specializes in clinical neuropsychology and is with BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned a Master of Science degree in behavioral neuroscience at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in clinical psychology, with an emphasis on neuropsychology, from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Weitzner completed a neuropsychology internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and a clinical neuropsychology residency at the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Weitzner's clinical interests include age-related cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disorders, and his research interests include investigating predictors of cognitive decline. An accomplished author, he has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed publications including the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology and the Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology. He’s a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology.
