I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my most recent visit. The appointment felt rushed, and when I attempted to share important personal information about my health, I did not feel that I was given the time or attention needed to be properly heard. At one point, what sounded like a laugh or chuckle under the providers breath made me feel my concerns were not being taken seriously. As a patient communicating something significant about my mental health, I expected to be treated with dignity and respect - and that was not my experience during this visit.
I was not satisfied with my care provider during this visit. When I was explaining a personal situation, she responded with what sounded like a laugh or a chuckle under her breath, which felt dismissive and disrespectful. I did not feel heard or taken seriously, and that is not acceptable when a patient is trying to communicate something important about their health.
