Dr. Christos Pitarys is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine and specializes in general and interventional cardiology and is with BayCare Medical Group in New Port Richey, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Pitarys completed a cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Pitarys treats numerous heart conditions including hypertension, coronary and valvular heart diseases, congestive heart failure, adult congenital heart disease and arrhythmias. He’s skilled in stress testing and echocardiography and performs cardiac catheterizations and coronary stenting. One of Dr. Pitarys’ many goals as a cardiologist is to help patients improve their quality of life and strive for longevity with both primary and secondary prevention with a personalized approach. He’s a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Pitarys is affiliated with Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. He's fluent in Greek and Spanish.
