My good experience, I ran out of my Medicine was at work and I wasnt gonna be able to go in to the doctors. I called and a nurse spoke to my Doctor and they called the pharmacy and sent me a strip. Picked it up when I got off work. I was so grateful.

Dr Schutzback is astute and personable.

The doctor looked over my labs done by another specialist and commented on how good my results were. We talked about the ease of getting my refills done through his staff and office, as well as any medical procedures I would need in the following year. Also answered my questions about pending referrals. Great visit over all. The doctor gave me a script for my lipid and psa labs do for the first quarter of the new year.

Dr. Schutzbachs demeanor is welcoming, professional, and he thoroughly covered my health concerns, explained next steps to testing and diagnosis and follow-up treatment as well as follow-up. Checkout was thorough, next steps and scheduling completed.

Very good physician, only feedback is the annual physical was more rushed and less thorough than Ive had in the past, but this may be due to the fact that Im healthy and my previous PCP spent a lot of time with patients, maybe too much. I also had an issue with BayCare accepting my medical records transfer so the physician may not have had them with ample time before the appointment. Typically I got an EKG at all annual physicals and did not during this visit, but that may not have been necessary. The only medical concern I have is familial high cholesterol. My physician was very good and thorough at referring me the the appropriate specialists for visits I need. Overall very happy with his care and highly recommend this office.

He set up referrals to address any and all health concerns I had. Labs ordered and followup visit to discuss them in one month.

My experience with Dr. Schutzbach is that he is patient, focused on pertinent topics related to my health-related needs and open to questions.

Excellent advice

Dr. Brian Schutzbach prepared well for my annual visit, explained the meaning of the results of my recent blood tests and CT scan (reinforcing my hemotologist/oncologists review of the same a few days earlier), advised me helpfully when I mentioned some lower back pain, and provided me with instructional written materials including ten exercises which Im finding to be quite helpful.

I dont know about other branches I know this branch is one that I would tell anybody and everybody that we need to go. You will be treated like family and youll be talked to and manner that you will understand whats going on with your health and I will be kept confidential.

This will reveal my identity, but in an online back and forth, my provider accused me of trying to convince him to commit fraud simply because I didnt understand his posture on tobacco use. Frankly, in the 30+ years of my adult life, I have never had a doctor list me as a smoker because of occasional (fewer than 6 per year) cigar smoking. In his professional opinion, this is the equivalent of being an addicted 2 pack a day cigarette user. I have always mentioned this minor usage to my doctors in the past and present to include doctors that he referred me to and only he listed me as a smoker. This resulted in me being denied life insurance by my employer and now I have to go through the process of identifying a private insurer who will do a blood draw to prove I am not a smoker and that Dr. Schutzbach is being overzealous. I think he doesnt realize the potential consequences of the smoker label. He doesnt seem to understand that he is being asked for a medical decision: is this persons tobacco use impacting their health For me its a big fat no, but he made it seem otherwise because of his interpretation that ANY tobacco use EVER means you are a smoker (he told me this in our correspondence). I called BayCare to find out if there was a policy and I was told there is no policy. I think education is necessary for all practitioners so they are all on the same page. Im not saying if he is right or wrong, but I am saying that several other practitioners did not list me as a smoker given the same information. That shouldnt be happening. I will NOT be returning to Dr. Schutzbach, not only because of his decision to list me as a smoker but because of his accusations that I was attempting to commit insurance fraud by simply asking if his extreme interpretation was a mistake. Thats ridiculous.
