Dr. Anna Bernus is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology and is with BayCare Medical Group in Tampa Bay, where she sees patients from birth throughout adulthood. Before joining BayCare Medical Group, she practiced at Pediatric Cardiology Associates for 15 years and served as the director of pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Bernus earned a Doctor of Medicine after finishing a Fifth Pathway Program at the New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and performed a pediatric internship at Martin Luther King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She completed a pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California, and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at The Children’s Hospital of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Bernus has volunteered with several medical missions with Heart Care International and Surgeons of Hope and has provided cardiac care to children in Senegal, Mozambique, Peru, El Salvador and Jamaica, among other countries. Her clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension, noninvasive cardiology and cardiac intensive care unit/postoperative care. Dr. Bernus is certified in pediatric advanced life support. She’s a member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. Dr. Bernus is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and many other hospitals throughout Tampa Bay. She speaks Catalan, French and Spanish.
