    Dr. Powell has always been caring, very nice, knowledgeable, professional, listens to her patients and has a wonderful bed side manner and she always remembers details about my specific personal family life, which is exceptional to me.

    This was my first consult/visit with Dr. Powell. She had already obtained and thoroughly reviewed my medical records from my primary MD and the scans and test results related to my PI. She was respectful, and thoroughly explained by current condition and the surgical options she could provide to address it. She totally respected my decisions about my care and I felt like she truly care about me as an individual. I wish every one of my HC providers was a Dr. Powell.

  • Doctor Bio
    • Dr. Alexis Powell holds dual board certifications in general surgery and vascular surgery. She has a special interest in aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, and endovascular surgery. Dr. Powell earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She subsequently completed a general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of South Florida. Following her training, Dr. Powell held a clinical appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio, before relocating to the Tampa area. Dr. Powell has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters in the field of vascular surgery. She has also been involved in several national clinical trials. She is a member of the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society and the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Powell is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital.
