Dr. Alexandra Puente is board certified in family medicine and is with BayCare Medical Group in Tampa, Florida, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts, St. Kitts and Nevis, and completed a family medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Dr. Puente performs annual physicals, treats conditions and illnesses including hypertension and sore throat, and provides diabetes consultations. She thoroughly explains her patients’ conditions and works with them to create a suitable treatment plan. Dr. Puente treats entire families, as she feels the family dynamic often provides insight into other family members’ medical issues. She’s a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
