    • Dr. Alexander Williams is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Williams continued his medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. As part of BayCare Medical Group in Clearwater, Florida, Dr. Williams sees patients age 18 and older. An accomplished author, he has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed publications such as The American Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the Endocrine Society. Dr. Williams’ clinical interests include diabetes, adrenal and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and thyroid disease. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is affiliated with Morton Plant Hospital.
