Dr. Akash Patel is board certified in cardiovascular disease and is with BayCare Medical Group in Tampa, Florida, where he sees patients age 18 and older. He earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, completed an internal medicine residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and performed a cardiovascular diseases fellowship at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Patel's clinical interests include preventive cardiology and heart failure. He evaluates, diagnoses and treats cardiac issues, including echocardiography, nuclear medicine, ECG panel interpretation and direct patient care. Dr. Patel is affiliated with BayCare St. Joseph’s Hospital.
