    • Dr. Ahmad Hassan is a hospitalist with Morton Plant Hospital. He provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. He will be responsible for you and your loved one’s care while in our hospital and will partner with your primary care physician on any necessary follow-up care to assist with your continued care, once you return to your home. Dr. Hassan is board certified in internal medicine, with focused practice in hospital medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by a graduate degree in business from the University of Phoenix in Jacksonville. Dr. Hassan then earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. He continued his medical education by completing an internal medicine residency at Rutgers/New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. During his tenure at Morton Plant Hospital, he was elected to Medical Executive Committee board where he served as vice-chairman and chairman for the Department of Internal Medicine. He also worked as assistant medical director of the hospitalist program.
