Meghna Kumar-Pelayo, MD

This was my sons first visit with a provider for adult neurology (transitioning from All Childrens Hospital). One of the first things she said was that she only had 11 pages of records from ACH. I stated that I signed the release of medical information form, and I thought to myself that she or her staff should have reached out to ACH to get all of the records needed. As a health care provider (RN), I was disheartened with Dr. Kumar-Pelayos bed-side manner. She said things that alarmed/scared us, and I had to continuously ask questions to get a clear understanding what the plan of care will be, and I am still unsure. I can tell that Dr. Kumar-Pelayo is smart, but we were upset and scared following this visit.

I felt that the MD did not think I needed to be there. I got the impression she had info from the pcp who was just placating me on this appt. I have difficulty going to MDs and would not have been there if there was alternatives. I was scared about my symptoms and was seeking answers and assistance. I felt like she dismissed my questions telling me I had no reason to be there. I was so frightened by my symptoms I just cried, feeling dismissed on the way home. I again questioned the benefit of MDs.

Took off work, paid Uber to just be told they didnt have my records. Luckily they were found. Dr them just read the radiologist report because she didnt have or look at my scans. I felt uncomfortable with this as she was the neurologist who ordered them and felt she was the more competent person to read them.

Honestly Dr Pelayo made me feel so comfortable with all of my questions and concerns. She took her time to explain everything to me!

All great with the doctor. Top professional blended with real caring. Love her!

Definitely felt doc was in control. She read MRI and came in to tell me her interpretation. No time for me to explain situation. Friendly no...just business like.
