    • Dr. Mario F. Hernandez is board certified in family medicine and provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, in Guadalajara, Mexico, and then a Fifth Pathway Certificate from the New York Medical College in Valhalla. Dr. Hernandez completed a family medicine residency from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine in Lexington. Through the course of his training, he received several academic awards and scholarships from organizations that include the American Association of Family Physicians, the University of Kentucky and the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Dr. Hernandez has served as a hospitalist at various area hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. He also served as the medical director of a home health agency. He is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Hernandez is fluent in Spanish.
