Shana E. Anton, MD

Dr. Shana Anton is a family medicine physician serving the St. Petersburg, Florida community for BayCare Medical Group, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Florida International University/Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She continued her medical education by completing a family medicine residency at Tidelands Health MUSC.

Dr. Anton is passionate about preventive care and assisting patients of all ages in achieving their healthy lifestyle goals; she also has a special interest in working with patients to manage chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma. She aims to work with her patients and empower them in their health decisions. When necessary, she will also provide referrals for conditions that require the expertise of another specialist. She is also interested in procedures such as skin biopsies, Nexplanon and IUD insertions/removals, and joint injections. She is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
