Cecilia D. Carag, MD

Dr. Cecilia Carag is board-certified in family medicine and serves the Sun City Center, Florida area for BayCare Medical Group, where she sees patients age 18 and older. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from the University of the Philippines and then earned her Doctor of Medicine from Far Eastern University Institute of Medicine in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Carag continued her education by completing a family medicine residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Carag is privileged to work with patients at all moments of their healthcare journey providing a patient-centered and quality focused practice. She cares about improving her patients’ experience and encourages them to be proactive in their healthcare while following an evidenced-based approach to preventive care and disease management. Her background as a physical therapist provides a unique perspective as a primary care physician for patients with musculoskeletal and functional impairments. Dr. Carag believes that the physician-patient partnership in healthcare promotes an effective and individualized treatment approach leading to positive outcomes and patient satisfaction.
