Biometric Screenings

Our biometric screenings are provided on-site at your workplace and can include online registration and a detailed health risk assessment (HRA) your employees can complete upon registration. A report will be provided to every employee including their individual progress made each year. Our health educators discuss health concerns and progress that can be made at the end of each screening. The HRA and biometric screening results will also be discussed. In addition, you will receive an aggregate report detailing overall company results that be compared annually.

Diabetes Screenings

Diabetes is one of the major cost drivers at many organizations across the Tampa Bay area and many individuals living with diabetes do not know they have it. BayCare can provide a series of screenings to help identify those at greatest risk. Our process to identify those at risk includes:

• All participating employees will receive a series of questionnaires to determine if the participant is at risk
• Those found at risk from the questionnaires will have their blood glucose levels tested by finger stick
• Those found with elevated glucose levels will be provided a hemoglobin A1C screening

All results are provided minutes after the completion of the screening or assessment. If the patient is found to be at risk, they are encouraged to talk with their doctor and are provided with a physician referral if needed. They are also provided support resources from our Outpatient Diabetes Centers and from community organizations and groups.

BayCare Wellness Services professionals can conduct any or all of the following tests at your workplace location.

• Skin Cancer

Screening Mammography Program

BayCare will reserve a date and time at an imaging center closest to your work location to provide screening mammograms to your female employees qualifying for the program. Each participant will receive a free gift for participating.

Mobile Screening Program at Your Worksite

If you do not have space inside your worksite, some of our wellness programs and services can be provided inside of our BayCare wellness bus, which we can park outside of your worksite. This 40-foot mobile health unit can be conveniently located on your property for easy access for your employees and won't disrupt workplace areas. Screenings include our healthy heart and wellness screening packages, hemoglobin A1c, skin cancer, as well as flu shots. BayCare adheres to the United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) screening guidelines, an independent, volunteer panel of national experts in prevention and evidence-based medicine.
