BayCare has announced construction plans for our newest hospital to serve the rapidly growing community of Manatee County. BayCare Hospital Manatee will be the county’s first not-for-profit hospital and the only hospital north of the Manatee River. Located on Moccasin Wallow Road, this 154-bed, state-of-the-art hospital is due to be completed in early 2028. BayCare Hospital Manatee will offer comprehensive medical services such as obstetrics, diagnostic and interventional services and physical rehabilitation, as well as a BayCare HealthHub. The hospital will include an emergency department, intensive care unit and neonatal intensive care unit, among other resources. This project represents a $563 million investment that will help us serve the growing health and wellness needs of this community.
BayCare Hospital Manatee will offer services including general, orthopedic and specialty surgery, urology, gastroenterology, cardiology, diagnostic and interventional imaging, emergency care, obstetrics and neonatology. The hospital’s design anticipates expanding to 207 beds when needed, with additional capacity possible as the community grows.
BayCare Health System is breaking ground on Manatee County’s first hospital north of the Manatee River to support expanding health care needs of the rapidly growing community. BayCare Hospital Manatee will be located at the northeast corner of Moccasin Wallow Road and Interstate 75 and will provide northern Manatee County residents easy access to convenient, high-quality health care. BayCare currently operates 16 hospitals in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties.
