Patient and Caregiver Education

Prior to surgery, a free total joint replacement class is offered for patients and their families to increase their knowledge of total joint replacement, prepare for surgery and learn about the recovery process. This class is offered the first and third Tuesdays of the month, from 12:30 to 2pm. Registration for this class is required.

Following joint replacement surgery and prior to discharge from the hospital, family members and caregivers of patients are invited to attend a free class to review key items to guide patients through the recovery process. Caregivers are encouraged to attend this class during their friend or loved one’s hospital stay. This class is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday from 9 to 10:30am. Registration for this class is not required.
