Urethral Sling

Stress incontinence is when an individual leaks urine when coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting items or exercising. The urethral sling surgical procedure helps females with stopping stress incontinence. The surgery closes the urethra, the tube carrying urine from the bladder to outside the body, and the upper part of the bladder. A synthetic tape is surgically implanted through the vagina to support the closure of the urethra.
