Heart Palpitations Care

Heart palpitations are when your child's heart beats faster or harder or skips beats. It is characterized by a pounding, thumping, racing or a fluttering feeling in the chest. Your child will be tested to determine the cause of the heart palpitations. The BayCare Medical Group Pediatric Extended Care at Carrollwood provider may recommend changing your child's eating and drinking habits. Stress reduction techniques could be another recommendation. Some medicines can decrease or stop palpitations.
