Developmental/Congenital Hip Dysplasia Surgery

Developmental dysplasia of the hip DDH is a dislocation of the hip joint found at birth. A harness or device is used to separate the legs and keep the legs turned outward. The device is used to stablize the hip joint and keep it in place as the child grows. Surgery may be required if the condition does not improve from the use of a harness.
