Ulnar Nerve Surgery

Ulnar nerve surgery is treatment for ulnar nerve dysfunction. The ulnar nerve travels from the shoulder to the hand and allows movement or sensation in the wrist or hand. Symptoms for ulnar nerve dysfunction include abnormal sensations in the fingers; loss of finger coordination; numbness or decreased sensation; pain, tingling or burning sensation and hand weakness. Surgery is meant to relieve nerve pressure if symptoms intensify or if there is evidence that part of the nerve is deteriorating.
