CT Chest

A CT (computed tomography) chest, also known as a thoracic CT, is an X-ray showing cross sections of the upper abdomen and chest. This imaging examination is done to detect masses, tumors, fluid buildup or bleeding in the lungs and to observe organs in the upper abdomen and chest. A CT chest scan is also done following an injury to the chest.
