Pulse Oximetry

Pulse oximetry uses a device measuring the oxygen saturation of blood through a sensor attached to a finger, toe or ear. The device determines the percentage of oxyhemoglobin in blood pulsating through capillaries. An alarm signals if the blood saturation is less than optimal.
