Conditioning Play Audiometry

A conditioning play audiometry determines the faintest tones a child can hear at frequencies from low to high. Ear phones, sound booths and calibrated speakers are ways this audiometry can be conducted. Conditioned play audiometry is used as a child matures into a toddler and preschool (2 to 3 years old). The child is trained to perform an activity when they hear a sound. The activity could involve placing a block in a box, putting a peg into a hole or placing a ring on a cone.
