Percutaneous Endoscopic Jejunostomy (PEJ) Tube

A percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy tube (PEJ) is a surgery that puts a feeding tube into part of the small intestine (jejunum). A PEJ feeds a patient unable to swallow. It is an alternative to a more invasive operation or surgery. An endoscope, a flexible tube with a small camera, is used in this procedure.
