Endoscopic Ultrasound EUS

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

An endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) takes pictures of the esophagus and stomach lining. A thin tube called an endoscope is inserted through the mouth and down toward the abdomen. Then an ultrasound device is passed through the endoscope to take the images. During this test, your doctor may also take tissue samples for biopsy.
