Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a specialized form of radiation treatment therapy. To deliver this radiation, a high-dose X-ray is targeted directly at the tumor site with the assistance of a computer. SRS allows for the radiation therapy to be delivered as close as possible to the tumor site with minimal affect on nearby healthy cells. This procedure does not require any incisions to be made on the body.
