Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral to participate?

Yes, you must be referred, in writing, to our program by your physician.

Who staffs the program?

Health care professionals will work with you to ensure a medically safe program. By coordinating with your physician, the cardiac medical director will make any decisions affecting your program. The rehabilitation coordinator is a certified cardiac care nurse, specially trained in physical conditioning for heart patients or those in high-risk categories. The physical conditioning instructor leads the exercise sessions.

Will insurance cover the cost?

Medicare and most insurance companies cover the cost of cardiac rehabilitation when ordered by your physician. Please feel free to ask us specific questions about the costs of the program.

What happens after the 12-week program?

Graduates advance to the next level of our program. Ask about the maintenance stage of cardiac rehabilitation.
