Balloon Sinuplasty™ for Chronic Sinus Conditions

Typically, patients require sinus surgery to clear the sinuses and provide wider openings for drainage and breathing. Balloon sinuplasty is an exciting new minimally invasive technique, which means your doctor does not have to cut on the outside of the face to reshape the sinuses.

During the procedure, which is performed under general anesthesia, your ENT surgeon inserts a small balloon into the sinus cavity by way of your nose. Once inside, using a microscope to visualize the area, your surgeon can gently inflate the balloon to reshape the cavity.

Because there are no incisions, you can expect to recover quickly and without scars—usually within 1 to 2 days.
