Outpatient Therapy and Support Services

Individuals in need of counseling services receive an initial assessment and development of a treatment plan that is individually designed with you to guide your treatment. Counseling services may include individual, family or group treatment. Our staff is highly trained and credentialed to provide services for individuals of all ages including very young pre-school children, school age children and adolescents as well as adults and older adults.

Case management and other support services are also available to assist individuals with service linkage and monitoring related to their behavioral health, medical, housing, employment and other related needs.

Other community services such as psycho-educational groups, parenting programs and free community presentations are also offered.

Outpatient Psychiatric Services

Board Certified/Eligible Psychiatrists and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnostic services, and prescribe and manage psychotropic medications. They work closely with nurses and a contracted on site pharmacy to provide coordinated care.

Specialized Services

Special services for adults and their families throughout Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties are provided through contracts with the state of Florida’s Department of Children and Families and the Polk County Indigent HealthCare Division. These services are designed to provide assistance and stability to families. These special programs include Helping Families Succeed (HFS) and Specialized Community Care Team (SCCT).

School Based Services

Children with emotional issues in Polk County public schools have access to on site mental health consultation and counseling services from our professional staff. These services are made available through a contract with the Polk County School Board. Included are children from pre-school age through high school. Additionally, through specialty contracts our trained pre-school specialists provide on site counseling and consultation to assist in the developmental and emotional needs for young children in pre-school head start centers and migrant head start centers.
