Sweet Eating

Honey is a more healthful sweetener than sugar, say researchers at the University of Illinois, Urbana. Its antioxidants are as good at fighting free radicals as those found in many fruits and vegetables. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that can damage the DNA of cells. Over time, this damage may lead to cancer. For the most potency, choose buckwheat or some other dark-colored honey.
