Jennifer Boucher, MD

Medical School: Florida International University College of Medicine. Undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami.
Languages: In addition to English, she speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
Interests: Reading fiction and travel memoirs, cooking and baking.
Of Note: Jennifer founded the Sun Project of Florida, which utilizes an educational program she created to promote awareness of skin cancer risks in minorities.

 

Brett Cann, MD

Medical School: Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. Undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at Wayne State University.
Languages: In addition to English, he speaks Spanish.
Interests: Golf, fishing, paintball, rollerblading, travel and automobiles.
Of Note: Brett was actively involved in research throughout medical school; his primary focus was in the area of orthopedics.

Raymond de Cuba, MD

Medical School: University of South Florida College of Medicine. Undergraduate degree in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from Rollins College in Florida and a Master’s degree in Public Health - Epidemiology from the University of South Florida.
Interests: Soccer, tennis and outdoor activities. He has travelled to Europe and the Caribbean to compete in both soccer and tennis.
Of Note: As a member of the International Health Service Collaborative at USF, Raymond participated in two medical mission trips to Panama.

Kehinde Idowu, MD

Medical School: Meharry Medical College in Tennessee. Undergraduate work in Biology at Georgia State University.
Interests: Reading, salsa dancing, soccer, personal fitness, spending time with family and friends and driving for Lyft.
Of Note: Kehinde has had numerous volunteer experiences ranging from work in food banks and community health events to being a mentor in the PAUSE partnership in Atlanta mentoring college students interested in a career in medicine. Kehinde is also a newlywed. He also speaks Kru, Ibo and Yoruba.

Chinyere Okpaleke, MD

Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. Undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences as well as a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida.
Interests: Yoga, basketball and high fashion modeling.
Of Note: A former collegiate basketball player, Chinyere founded Reality Speaks, a non-profit organization that facilitates student athletes through a series of specialized programs designated for the successful transition to life after sports. She also speaks Kru, Ibo and Yoruba.

Ashley Parks, MD

Medical School: Virginia Tech School of Medicine. Undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Utah.
Interests: SCUBA diving (she is a certified dive master and rescue diver), sailing, skiing, rock climbing, backpacking and traveling.
Of Note: Ashley’s research project assessing the availability of access to primary care in rural and small urban areas won the award for Best Medical Student Presentation at the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Regional Society of Academic Emergency Medicine Conference. The manuscript will be submitted for publication in the fall.


Rajay Seudath, MD

Medical School: University of South Florida College of Medicine. Undergraduate degree in Biology from USF.
Languages: In addition to English, he speaks Japanese.
Interests: Culinary arts, video games, martial arts and theater.
Of Note: Raj completed a two-month research project in Japan studying the differences between Japanese and American culture as manifested in doctor-patient interactions.


Yin Zheng, MD

Medical School: University of South Florida College of Medicine. Undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Biology at Washington University in St. Louis and Master’s degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Interests: The accordion, music composition, live DJ performance, traveling and photography.
Of Note: Yin has published multiple studies on such diverse topics as medical informatics, urology, chronic fatigue syndrome and metastatic renal cell carcinoma, among others. Yin is also a newlywed. He also speaks Chinese.
