Of Note: Tina was awarded a one year research grant through the University of Florida University Scholars Program to study the use of recombinant DNA technology to interrupt a canine herpes virus. Other research experiences include studying zinc deficiencies in a population of professional athletes and breast cancer research.

Of Note: Emily spent 6 months training as a volunteer educator for Imaging the World, which culminated in a trip to Uganda to train Ugandan health care providers in the methods of ultrasound technology.
