Emergency Training
BayCare Wellness Services provides on-site training for employees to better prepare them on what to do in the event of an emergency. These programs provide hands-on training and a step-by-step process to follow in an emergency situation that could one day save someone’s life. Our emergency training services include:
Hands-Only CPR Training
This basic emergency training program is an hour in length and provides employees with basic education on cardiovascular disease and providing hands-only CPR in an emergency situation. Mannequins are provided to ensure proper compressions are being administered as well as training on what to do in the event of an emergency. Employees will not be CPR certified with this program.
Adult CPR and Automated External Defibrillator Course
This class is designed for employees without a medical background and can be very helpful for those responding to workplace emergencies. We provide mannequins and a practice automated external defibrillator to provide hands-on learning so your employees will feel confident responding in an emergency situation. Upon completion of the course, your employees will be Heartsaver CPR certified though the American Heart Association. This certification is valid for 2 years.
Basic Life Support for Your Health Care Team
Basic Life Support is designed for health care providers at your organization and teaches them techniques to help victims of all ages. The topics covered in the course include infant/child and adult CPR, use of the automated external defibrillator and relief of foreign body airway obstruction. This course is great for your school nurses, office security guards and other healthcare representatives. Mannequins and a practice AED are provided to ensure the proper techniques and procedures are demonstrated by each participant. Upon completion of the course, employees will be Basic Life Support CPR certified through the American Heart Association. This certification is valid for 2 years.
