Emotional Wellbeing
While prevention and early intervention are ideal, more significant mental health issues arise in the workplace which can impact the health and safety of an individual or others. Fitness for Duty Evaluations address significant performance issues related to substance use and/or mental health challenges; Critical Incident Response Services can help ensure the emotional wellbeing during times of crisis.
- A Fitness for Duty Evaluation is a specialized medical examination of an employee to determine whether the employee is physically or psychologically able to safely perform the job which provides concrete information about psychological problems such as depression anxiety and confusion that affect an employee’s workplace behavior. A psychological fitness for duty evaluations can be instrumental in promoting workplace safety and ensuring that employees can safely and competently perform their job.
- BayCare counselors trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) provide group and/or individual counseling in the event of a critical incident such as traumatic death or medical crisis, workplace or campus violence, or other incidents that may have a significant emotional impact on employees, students, or parishioners.
