Nonionic Dye Injections

Nonionic dye injections are a diagnostic procedure performed in a hospital by a Suncoast Medical Clinic doctor to evaluate valvular heart disease by using contrast materials (dye) to enhance the visibility of blood vessels. The contrast materials are administered intravenously. Nonionic agents are used to reduce the chance for a reaction to the contrast materials.
