Provider Participation Under the Financial Assistance Policy

Each medical provider that delivers emergency or other medically necessary care in the hospital or assists with care is a private practitioner and not employed by the hospital. A bill comes from the hospital and separate bills are sent from each medical provider that provides care in the hospital. The medical providers that practice at BayCare hospitals are not required to follow the Financial Assistance policy. Some of the medical providers at the hospitals may offer financial assistance at their discretion. BayCare Physician Partners are currently not covered under the hospital Financial Assistance policy. Further information about the assistance or payment arrangements a medical provider may offer can be obtained by contacting the provider directly.

To check if your provider is covered under the Financial Assistance Policy, click on the links below to download a list of providers not covered by this policy. These listings will be updated quarterly. If a medical provider is not listed or further information is needed, contact Financial Assistance at (855) 233-1555.

The list is also available at each hospital from Patient Access Services in the emergency room and in admission areas.
