Morton Plant Mease Primary Care

Morton Plant Mease Primary Care

Morton Plant Mease Primary Care, Inc. (MPMPC) is a nonprofit group of more than 100+  primary care physicians and specialists serving Pinellas, Pasco and West Hillsborough counties.

Our group requires all our Pediatric, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice Physicians to be board certified in their specialty and many are dual-boarded. Their training comes from prestigious medical schools and residency programs. View our list of providers and find one near you.

Our affiliation with BayCare provides an excellent inpatient and outpatient network of hospitals for our physicians, with Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Mease Hospitals in Dunedin and Safety Harbor, and Morton Plant North Bay Hospital in New Port Richey.

In 2014, Morton Plant Mease Primary Care, along with three other medical groups within BayCare Health System, merged to become collectively known as BayCare Medical Group. We are now the largest multi-specialty group in the Tampa Bay area, more than 500 providers located throughout five counties in west central Florida. Our doctors are affiliated with the hospitals of BayCare.

Our Values

MPMPC believes in a strong value system as the foundation for all its activities. We have embraced the Morton Plant Mease values of trust, dignity, respect, excellence and responsibility.

It is critical that our clinical relationships be built on trust between the patient and the physician, and that the dignity of the patient is maintained throughout all encounters. As health care continues moving toward "commodity" status, we often see patient dignity sacrificed for expediency, or simply overlooked entirely. Trust and dignity are born of a mutual respect between the patient and the care provider.

We also value true excellence in medical care. This is supported by the quality of physicians we accept into our group and the dozens of programs designed to assess and continually improve all areas of quality service.

We value our responsibility to our patients, staff and the entire community. Each member of the MPMPC team is expected to take responsibility to ensure that the level of care provided to our patients is the best that can possibly be. If there is room for improvement, our focus is not on blame but on fixing the problem and improving our service.

We promise to provide compassionate care while respecting the diversity of everyone by:

  • Acknowledging customers and being nice
  • Introducing ourselves and listening to our customers
  • Treating others as we want to be treated
  • Treating all customers as unique individuals with unique needs

We promise to anticipate the needs of our customers while providing them a safe environment that maintains privacy by:

  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Responding quickly and professionally
  • Working together as a team

We promise to take pride in all we do and be ambassadors for the organization at all times by:

  • Assuming ownership of customers’ needs
  • Taking responsibility for patient complaints
  • Speaking positively about fellow team members and departments
  • Keeping our work area neat

We promise to present ourselves professionally with a positive attitude and instill confidence in all those we serve by:

  • Always being honest with our customers and each other
  • Providing information in a timely manner
  • Demonstrating appropriate verbal/non-verbal communication
  • Following the dress code and wearing proper identification
  • Acknowledging and apologizing when an error in customer service is made

Our Management

MPMPC is a physician-led and governed organization. A Physician Advisory Board consisting of 15 MPMPC physicians sets direction for the group and approves all activities.

The daily operations for the group practice are supported by a highly experienced administrative team of health care professionals that oversees the delivery of clinical and operational services for MPMPC.
