ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (May 4, 2004) - A team of St. Anthony's physicians will conduct free sports physicals for high school athletes on Saturday, May 22, 9 a.m. to noon, at Tropicana Field.
St. Anthony's and the Tampa Bay Devil Rays sponsor the event, which is open to all south Pinellas high school athletes. Participants also will receive two free tickets to the Devil Rays game later that evening against the Cleveland Indians. The tickets will be given out on a first-come, first served basis.
High School athletes will receive sports physicals from dozens of male and female physicians representing numerous specialties such as family practice medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, surgery and ophthalmology. Athletic trainers and nurses will be available to answer questions. The event also will feature "Ask the Sports Medicine Doctor" seminars.
There will be free parking in Lot 1 for the sports physicals. Participants can enter through Gate 5.
