For patients who are medically stable but require extended hospitalization and intensive nursing care, we offer long-term care solutions.

BayCare Alliant Hospital is our long-term acute care hospital (LTCH), housed on the first floor of Mease Dunedin Hospital. Alliant accepts patients requiring cardiac care, complex medical/multisystem failures, infectious disease issues, rehabilitation needs, respiratory care, ventilator weaning and wound care. A typical patient stay at BayCare Alliant Hospital is 25 days or more, depending on the diagnosis and medical needs of the patient.

Our Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) at St. Anthony's Hospital provides care to those requiring additional nursing care and treatment, or strengthening and healing time before returning home.

While patients no longer require acute care, they have access to acute hospital services, such as X-ray, emergency room, pharmacy, etc. Respiratory, speech, physical and occupational therapy are also offered.
